Whether you’re designing a tablescape for a hot cross bun inspired brunch or an Easter Sunday lunch, we’re sharing our favourite Easter décor accessories for a memorable meal. Below, you’ll also find seasonal ideas for side dishes to serve at your Easter weekend gatherings.
Creating an Easter tablescape
Our Easter table centrepiece starts with branches of blossom. The thorny stems are perfect for hanging decorations and successfully keep them in place. We added branches of pussy willow and intertwine pretty ranunculus flowers in white and light pink. In place of ranunculus, you could use other flowers in season for spring, such as tulips, hellebores or anemones.
We’ve used pale green striped napkins to tie in the green linen table cloth, adding contrast to the wicker and wooden-coloured elements of the tablescape. The placemats, napkin rings and woven vase add more texture and further nods to nature on our seasonal Easter table.
Creating varying heights is one of the best ways to create interest and depth in your tablescape. Beyond the addition of candles, which will take a table from brunch to dinner, we’ve placed a tempting stack of hot cross buns on a cake stand, creating breathing space under the display.
Spring is a playful season, full of youth and new life, which gives you an excuse to have a little fun with your Easter table accessories. We opted for an egg tray which we filled with wooden eggs, but these could easily have been chocolate instead!
- Reflect the colours of spring with pastels and vibrant greens
- Add textures of nature to ground your tablescape
- Use items of varying heights to create interest and depth
- Have fun with your tablescape, reflecting the youthfulness of the season
