Da Costa

Da Costa uses seasonal, British ingredients to create Northern Italian dishes, blending two cultures in a superb setting at Hauser & Wirth Somerset. The restaurant joined Bruton’s dining scene in 2024 as a new outpost by the independent hospitality group, Artfarm. Da Costa takes its name and draws inspiration from co-founder Iwan Wirth’s grandfather, a restauranteur who originated from a village in the Veneto region of Northern Italy.

On a warm day, we enjoyed lunch outdoors in the landscaped courtyard. The feel of the planting continues from Hauser & Wirth’s gardens, which are famously designed by Piet Oudolf. There’s plenty to tempt you on the menu, from antipasti, pasta and risotto to dishes from the grill. The creamy risotto flavoured and coloured with saffron, topped with English asparagus and parmesan made for a memorable springtime lunch.

Visiting Durslade Farm and Hauser & Wirth with the attached farm shop and scenic location, is always an enjoyable jaunt. Da Costa gives you one more (delicious) reason to organise a visit.
